it's time to READ
søndag 23. august 2015 at 12:00

Got in a bunch of manga, two books and a cd this week!
From top to bottom it's koi wa ameagari no you ni volume 1 and 2, Shiota-sensei to Amai-chan, Asami-sensei no himitsu and toki wo kakeru shoujo.

The cd is yume no manimani from siinamota and the book is kokuhaku by Minato Kanae.
Yume no manimani is hard to get nowadays but I managed to snag a used copy off amazon.jp! I had to use a proxy seeing as the seller only did domestic shipping but, honestly, it was worth it. Siinamota's works means a lot to me, especially now that he's gone.

I mentioned in my last entry about this series that I had ordered the tankobons, and here they are. I think it's nice to own physical copies of series you like. The Obi on vol 1 features Aoi Honoo, and vol 2 I am a hero.

Opposite order from before, but here are the backs of the tankobon. The manager stays in the back while Tachibana is the cover girl, hah. I don't know what the design for vol 3 looks like yet, but I'm guessing it'll be like this too. I hope there will be a cover of them together someday though....

The inside looks the same as the scans, obviously.

Moe...

Next is Shiota-sensei to Amai-chan. Most of the comics (if not all) are posted on the mangaka's pixiv, but the tankobon has improved art and the text is typed instead of handwritten.

It's a love comedy about the 16 year old high-school girl Amai Yayoi and the teacher Shiota Tsuguharu.

I'm absolutely in love with the mangaka's art style and find the characters very endearing.

It doesn't have any of the usual angst most senseixseito mangas have, except maybe in the last chapter when he's sad about her graduating (except it's a dream but you know)

Relationship goals. I'm starting to feel sad about no longer being a high schooler.....

Then we have these two. I read the first chapter of Asami-sensei in English here, and ended up buying the first volume for some reason. I wish I knew Spanish so I could read their scanlation.
The book is the book behind the movie Confessions, which is one of my favourites. It'll probably take a while to read but I really want to try!

Toki wo kakeru shoujo, better known to us as "The girl who leapt through time"!

I wanted to read the novel, but ended up getting this anime version of the book. Oops. I can still read it, but I can't bring it with me to read on my way to uni etc.

As you can see it features caps from the movie along with the text. It has furigana, so it'll be easier to read!

Hopefully I'll get started on it too. I really hope I can become fluent in Japanese one day....

The cd and kokuhaku are from amazon.jp (used tenso as proxy) and everything else is from yesasia!
